The Indian Postal Department is expected to announce the India Post GDS Result 2026 shortly for the recruitment of 28,636 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts across the country. Once declared, candidates will be able to access the merit list on the official GDS Online Engagement Portal at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
The recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) in various postal circles nationwide. The online application process commenced on January 31 and concluded on February 16, 2026.
As per the official procedure, the selection process does not involve a written examination or interview. Instead, candidates are shortlisted purely on the basis of their Class 10 marks, which are calculated according to a system-generated merit list. The first merit list will be released in PDF format, allowing applicants to check their roll numbers once the link becomes active.
Shortlisted candidates will subsequently be called for document verification. Final appointment will be subject to verification of educational qualifications, identity proof, and other eligibility criteria as prescribed by the department.
Although the exact result date has not been officially confirmed, the announcement is expected soon based on previous recruitment timelines.
